EBAY Live! 2008, at least one seller goes crazy.

Today marks the start of EBAY Live!. For all of you who are out there, enjoy it, cause it may be the last! For those of you not in england there are plenty of online resources to follow the main events and announcements, including of course, the keynote webcast.

I'll also update this post with some of the more interesting news coming out the next 3 days.

- PayPal increases buyer protection to 100% of purchase price
- EBAY creates Diamond PowerSeller level with tailored pricing
- EBAY phasing out 3rd-party checkout
- New Item Page rolling out
- Feedback withdrawal coming back.
- And more.

Update 2: And of course, at least one seller goes crazy.

Update 3: As a final observation, Skype was pretty much absent from this year's EBAY Live, and did not even have a booth on the exhibit floor. For me, the signal from passing up on the opportunity to put a portfolio company in front of a few thousand sellers is pretty clear. I would expect a Skype divestiture before the end of the year.
