We received a package today from UPS. The package was to contain a lap top computer. There was no lap top in the package.

We bought the lap top on ebay. The guy was going to send the lap top in the a HP box was told that was not a good idea. The UPS clerk then told him that if they could put the computer in their own box and seal it, that the package would be insured. The guy paid for the packaging and left, but did not see them put the computer in a box and seal it before he left.

Now here is the major complaint. My wife called the UPS service place where it was ship from. She talked to a man who did not care and was hand to a manager. She told the manager the story on what happened with the packaged. The manager asked if she was the one who sent the package. She said no that she was the receiver. The UPS manager told her (then have a merry #$&# christmas) and hung up.

My wife was mad and called back. She asked why they talked to her that way. UPS informed her that because of privice law they could not help her and hung up on her again.

The UPS store is at Warwick, RI 02888.

Same thing happened with my daughter-in-law with a iPod. After numerous emails and threats it was resolved.

As far as dealing with UPS and other delivery services, these are people are recovering from failed brain transplant surgery. Customer service to them are just two words in the dictionary
