Of course, neither buyers nor sellers like to see eBay fees increase. These will ultimately be passed onto the buyer and marginally lower the volume of sales. However, eBay can only be expected to charge whatever the traffic will bear.

Although many sellers object to them, I welcome the changes to the eBay feedback policy. Since few buyers left negative feedback when sellers could retaliate, every seller's feedback was unreliable. Consequently, I bought less. I'm not alone. I missed deals and honest sellers suffered lower sales. eBay is better off without sellers who find the changes to the feedback policy unacceptable. Of course, even honest sellers will occasionally encounter unreasonable buyers who leave them unmerited negative feedback. I think most buyers are savvy enough to realize this and spot these people by their unreasonable remarks. Perhaps eBay should provide more space for feedback remarks so that unreasonable sellers have more text to reveal themselves.
